    répondre: Not sure... I can tell you I used it on my $400 dress shoes that were a mix of calf and alligator skin and it worked great. I would think that if it was safe for that, it would be safe for any boot.

  • question: Will this get mildew scent out of a leather collar? It smells of old towel. I've tried alcohol/hydrogen peroxide, baking soda in a bag.

    répondre: Before buying check with your local shoe store (the mom-and-pop kind) to ask how they treat mildew damaged leather. They may carry an alcohol-based leather foam that is more effective. Saddle soap is great for cleaning superficial spots and conditioning sealed leather products like leather chairs, shoes, handbags, saddles of course, etc. I would not recommend it for use on suede.
  • question: I have a saddle to clean but it has a tough suede seat...does anyone know if I could use this on the seat as well? Thanks!

    répondre: I use this to clean an italian leather sofa. I can't speak to your situation specifically, but I can say given what I know of the product, its consistency and its affects on surfaces other than leather, I do not believe I would put this on a suede, tough or not. I assume the suede is still somewhat fuzzy. This would not be good for a surface like that.
  • question: Does it darken the leather like mink oil does?

    répondre: No, you use this to clean the leather. I use a horse hair brush dip it into hot water and scrub the leather. After the leather dries it will be it's natural color. You will still need to add something to protect the leather.

Sof Sole Saddle Soap Leather Conditioner is an excellent product to rejuvenate and condition any leather product. It is recommended to clean superficial spots and condition sealed leather products like shoes, handbags, leather chairs, saddles, among others. It has a smooth and creamy Consistency which easily soaks into the leather, bringing it back to life. It has a nice light leather or milky smell which is pleasant, and it cleans leather perfectly without darkening it like mink oil does. However, it does not protect and seal leather as expected.
