LOVEBITES Format: Audio CD Editorial Review
In this editorial review, the latest release from LOVEBITES, the "アウトスタンディング・パワー Hell Edition" CD and DVD, has garnered a mostly enthusiastic reception from fans. The album is praised for its high production quality and a diverse array of unique tracks, particularly highlighting tracks one, six, and twelve as standout melodies rooted in melodic speed metal. The arrangements are described as well-balanced and engaging, offering listeners a refreshing experience without dull moments. The Live DVD component exceeds expectations, maintaining the band's reputation for excellent performance quality and leaving viewers in high spirits. Many reviewers appreciate that despite the overall shorter lengths of the songs, the extended guitar solos enhance the listening experience, prominently featuring effective vocal performances from the band’s lead vocalist, Asami. The meticulous attention to each member's contribution in songwriting offers a variety of musical colors that differentiate LOVEBITES from other female metal bands. Nevertheless, not all feedback is unanimously positive. Some listeners expressed disappointment over certain tracks, noting that, while the overall sound has matured, it lacks the catchy melodies and impactful guitar solos that fans had previously enjoyed. There were mixed feelings about the evolved mixing style, which has shifted from a youthful and energetic sound to a more subdued, mature presentation. Overall, the album is deemed a worthwhile purchase that exemplifies the band's ongoing growth and ability to innovate. LOVEBITES continues to captivate their audience, pushing the boundaries of their genre. **
